Dr. Kofi Donkor holds BSc (Biochemistry) from the University of Ghana and PhD (Pharmacology) from KNUST, Kumasi. He is the Deputy Executive Director at the Centre for Plant Medicine Research (CPMR), Mampong-Akuapem.
His research interests are drug development, biochemical toxicology, immunopharmacology, and ethnopharmacology, and has published more than 20 papers in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Donkor previously served as the head of the Coordinating Office for Research and Innovation at the CPMR, where he led the Research, Development, Commercialization, and Innovation initiatives of the Institute.
He also leads the CPMR’s institutional grant efforts, where he has helped the Institute to win grants from several funding agencies, including the WHO, GIZ, COVID-19 National Trust Fund, and Ghana Skills Development Fund. Before he was appointed head of Research and Innovation, he was head of the Department of Scientific Information, where he led the digitization efforts of the Institute to transform most of the Centre’s services from manual into electronic one including the development of tailor-made software.
He is an exceptional organizer and fundraiser, having served as the Chair of the annual Oku Ampofo Memorial Symposium, now Centre’s Oku Ampofo Memorial (COAM) Conference, since 2016. Dr. Donkor believes in non-pharmacological interventions and works closely with traditional medicine practitioners, and served as the chair of the technical committee of GHAFTRAM.
As a result of his close working relationship with WHO-Afro, he was a guest at the first and second WHO Traditional Medicine Global Summit in India in 2023 and 2025.

Dalian Adofo, BA (Hons), MA is an Educational & Creative consultant based in the UK, co-founder of Ancestral Voices CIC and CEO of Ghana’s Fresh Limited. A graduate of the Institute of Education London, he is a trained educator with over 15 years teaching experience, a fellowship scholar of UK-based educational think-tank Mirandanet Fellowship and a published academic researcher and author.
He is a cultural activist who promotes global equity and access, advocating for positive representation and accurate education about African heritage and culture through the work of Ancestral Voices CIC and promoting awareness about the ethnomedicinal traditions of Africa through sustainable co-operative relationships fostered with primary producers working with Ghana’s Fresh Limited.
A leading researcher in the field of African sacred traditions and knowledge systems, he sits on the committee of CADISS (Council of Diasporic & African Indigenous Spiritual Systems), a UK-based organisation advocating for correct education, political recognition and legal protection of African spiritual systems and practitioners.
His creative work spans a range of mediums including film and graphic design, branding and communications, with work featured in exhibitions, film festivals, some which have been award-winning; such as the legacy award from the Pan-African film festival for the seminal 2011 documentary ‘Ancestral Voices: Esoteric African Knowledge’.
